Marketing your business online.
marzec 27th, 2008Technology is amazing and has created exciting new opportunities for direct sellers and party plan professionals.
Elements like recruiting, training, selling and even booking parties no longer have to be limited to the way your upline tells you to do it, ie. Talk to everybody within 3 feet of you, make 20 phone calls a night, go to the store and just pick women who look well kept and talk to them about your opportunity. That is not working smart it is just hard work.
Learn how to use today’s technology to launch your party plan business into the next level.
Step 1:
Market your party plan business through message boards and chat rooms. Many message boards and chat rooms offer users the option of creating a “signature line” that automatically defaults into the base of a users posts. This is a good place to link to your business website and provide your contact information.
While signature lines are highly recommended, try to avoid discussing your business openly in chats and forums. Many users take offense to blatant marketing efforts and in many message boards will get you banned.
Step 2:
Take advantage of email. One of the easiest, and least expensive, ways to connect with customers and hostess is via email. While it can be quite expensive to mail out a monthly newsletter, it is free to send monthly specials and promotions via a carefully written customer email.
Step 3:
Connect with customers through social and viral networking sites. Popular sites like Myspace and Youtube can be a great resource for marketing your business online. Set up a profile with your business information and network with people that have similar interests. Also, there are no limits to advertising your business on these websites. There are no rules stating what you can or can not say about your business here.
Step 4:
Pay for advertising. While there are many ways to promote your party plan business online for free, you may get quicker results by placing paid ads on relevant sites. Search engines like Yahoo and Google also offer inexpensive pay-per-click advertising services.
Be careful when doing pay-per-click because in most instances when you sign up you are signing up for them to automatically charge your account whenever they think that your account is running low. So, always add a stop date for your campaign or keep a close eye on your account because they will not contact to you till after they have billed you more on your credit card. Buyer beware!
